Probably, I know asmuch as anyone about your Samuel Alexander who married Elizabeth Hinton, although they are not my ancestors. John N. Alexander, a descendant who knows as much, may provide some input also. I can give you a detailed list and history of Samuel's and Elizabeth's descendants and ancestry back to Samuel's grandfather. I'd appreciate any information you may have also to add to my data base.
Because of YDNA testing, we are now aware that Samuel and the rest of our Alexander line are not descended from James, the weaver, or another of the seven Alexander brothers of Cecil County, MD. Our DNA differs significantly from theirs, and we currently call ourselves the "Spartanburg Confused", or SpartCons. Take a look at our line on the Alexander DNA web page: . The SpartCons are the family shown in dark gold, and several of us SpartCons have posted our lineage down to our grandfathers.
