In Richard Malones Will he stated that Joseph Alexander his son in law was renting land from him in 1801. And that rents due should go to the upbringing of Josephs Children. In the 1790 Mifflin Census it shows Joseph Alexander with a wife and 6 kids, 3 boys under 16 and 3 girls. This would indicate that Josephs family was larger than the 8 kids listed on most of the trees posted. Only 2 of wich being shown as born before 1790. In 1833 Leslie Malone stated that it was well known amongst the neighberhood that Joseph Alexander was a soldier in the revolution. The neighberhood I believe consisted of Bald Eagle Township where Leslie returned after his captivity by the Indians. Joseph Alexander and Frances Malone are buried in Sugar Grove Cemetery where Joseph Died in 1839. I recently found a excerpt from a will in Bald Eagle Township Mifflin Copunty. For a Joseph Alexander with wife Ann and son,s Alexander, James, Joseph, and William and 4 daughters unnamed. Exec Thomas Mccalmont Sr. William Rankin, and Alexander Allender. The will was dated w. 05/23/1797 and P. 08/14/1797. Who was the Joseph Alexander who died in 1797 in bald Eagle Twp Mifflin County Pa.???? It could be possible that this Joseph Alexander was the father of the Joseph Alexander who married Frances Malone but then what about the older John Alexander that is often mentioned in the Annals of Northumberland County. Maybe John is the Unknown brother of Joseph and the Joseph who died in Bald Eagle Twp in 1797 is the Unknown Father. All theory without documentation.
