Updating what I know about the Alexander family in Macon County, TN.
Charla Mai Alexander daughter of Homer Alexander and Dortch Tucker. Her half brother, Paul Alexander, was the son of Homer Alexander and Marie Burrows, who Homer married after he and Dortch Tucker were divorced.Paul was the last family owner of Alexander Funeral Homes (although I think his children have restarted the business).Paul died in Dec. 2006 and was married to Rubye.
Homer Alexander was the son of Charles Carlos or "CC" Alexander who along with a Freeman began the Funeral Home business.CC was married to Emma Cothron.
In the obituary record from Alexander Funeral Home, his father was Hugh Alexander, married to Mary Susan Smalling.
I don't have anymore information than that.I have been trying to locate records on Hugh, but there are several Hughs and trying to connect a Mary has not been successful.I don't know, maybe she used a nickname.Hugh would have been born sometime between 1840 and 1850 because CC was born Dec 18, 1873.
