Social Security Death Records show Carl George Alexander as born June 29, 1925 and died in Plymouth, MI on Nov 11, 2000.US Census from 1930 show a Carl with a father named Carl and a mother named Anelda (b. ~1904 MI) living in Detroit.Carl Sr is listed as "Coach Operator D.S.R. City", which I take it means he was an operator of one of the electric buses that ran in Detroit (they no longer run there). This must be the family, as their neighbors are Thibodeau's.Strangely, Anelda is shown as born in MI and her parents were shown as born there...but the neighbor Thibodeau's are all showing as born in Canada French (meaning Quebec). This is another reason why census records are sometimes 'off'. Carl, Sr was born about 1903 in MI (but 1920 census show him as born in Canada) and died about 1955 in MI according to one researcher. A Carl Wilfurt Alexander was shown as a son of Wilfred (who was a widow in 1920) and became a citizen on Oct 5, 1939.Assuming this is the correct Carl (Sr), his DOB was listed as Jan 17, 1905.Anelda Thibodeau was born June 21, 1903 and died Nov 19, 1984 in Westland, Wayne County, MI. Carl George Alexander is shown as an infantryman and it appears he was in the Philippines. He was promoted from private to corporal in the US Army. If you live anywhere near Detroit I would highly recommend the Burton Historical Library, which is an excellent resource tool. They have all kinds of old phone books and materials from old Detroit. Anyway, I hope this helps.
