I am seeking information about the Alexander Family that own a plantation (slaves) in or around the Royston, Georgia (Franklin County, GA) area. My great-grandmother Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bonds, was the daughter of the slaveowner. She was born in 1876 and died in 1978. Her mother - - my great great grandmother was a black (african american) slave on the plantation and her name was FanLizzie Alexander. You may contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. We have some information for my grandmother lived to be over 100 years old and gave us information about the slaveowner being her father and she was definitely bi-racial. My grandma Lizzie (Lizzie Bonds (married name) as we called her moved to North Carolina years later having married my great grandfather ?? Bonds. We always knew her family was from Royston, Georgia area and the roots of my family traces back to the Alexander Family of the Franklin County area of Georgia (Royston). My grandma Lizzie had 6 other brothers and sisters but she was the only one who was fathered by the Alexander man (plantation owner). She was also given special treatment for she told us he acknowledge her secretly with visits when she was a child.
My name is Gaye and I live in North Carolina. Please contact me.
