As a follow up to my earlier posting, here is some more data you might need:The N.J. Alexander, born about 1844, was Newton John Alexander, born July 27, 1844 LA and died Dec 3, 1931.He was a soldier in the Civil War, Confederate States Army, and was buried at the Naler Cemetery, Moody, TX.Film #M227 roll 1 shows him as a private, Company G, sixth Texas Regiment.According to findagrave.com, Newton is now interred next to his second wife.He was, btw, a druggist in Austin. Newton and his wife Anna (born ~1850 TX; may have the maiden name of Sherwood) had two children that I can see:John E. Alexander, born 1868 and Charlotte, born 1870, in Texas. After Anna died it appears he married a Lula ____ ; she was born in Texas, her parents were from Sweden. She was about a quarter century younger: born March 6, 1869; died May 14, 1930.Both Lula and Newton are buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
