Ummm, i have no idea!? i'm a bit confuzed here! i'm not sure who is who and how/why you posted "If Sophronia Alexander is your ancestor then neither Reuben Alexander in Albemarle County, Virginia nor Reuben Alexander who married Jane Smith in Madison County, Missouri in 1830 is related to your line."
WHO are the parents of these people? Is the Reuben Alenander in Albemarle the same as i posted with the will from Chalkey's?That Reuben Smith was married 1810 to Sarah 'Sally' Smith. Are you saying that he is Sophronia father? and he re-married in 1810?
My Smith's ended up in Monroe Co IN, living close to where the Brown/Monroe county lines are.
You mentioned that Sophronia Alexander Johnson apparently died; then you have her husband William marrying Ally Wilson - then he died and she married two people (S Lucus & S Smith) within 2 days 1855.
Could they have divorced or is this another Sophronia Johnson who married 30 MAR 1848 Orange Co IN Armstrong Johnson?
Then when i searched for them - Solomon Lucus is married to a Mary (with a gap of few yrs of their children - 2nd marriage? or children may have died? And the Samuel Smith (b 1801) is listed with Alley with a son - last name wilson and a young Smith son.
They all go poof by 1870? Or moved as did the Lucas' did prior to 1860 where they are in Iowa.
Is Sophronia a dau of one of the Ruben Alexander's?
BTW, what is Ally's maiden name?
Her first marriage was to ______ Wilson (1 child b 1849 IN), then 2nd marriage to Wm Johnson (no children) then 3rd marriage to Sam Smith (1855) and had son in 1856.
Also looking for - WHO are the parents for Jane Smith and Samuel Smith?
Do they connect to the Sally Smith that married Ruben Alexander?
Hope this isn't too confusing!:)
