Thank you Carol for your reply.I appreciate the helpful information and your extensive research on the Alexander family.
I have always felt there was some connection between Zaccheus Wilson and the Alexander family but I could never put my finger on what, how or if that was true.
Alexanders were such a large family I guess they are likely to be mentioned in many documents of unrelated people. The Keziah wife of Zaccheus Wilson named in the deed might have been a widow of someone, or possibly a daughter Hope. It was reported that when Zaccheus Wilson moved to Tennessee in 1796, several Alexanders went with him.
Zaccheus Wilson purchased 155 Acres from David Alexander on 20 Jan 1768. That deed was witnessed by Moses Alexander and George Alexander.
Zaccheus Wilson and William Alexander were exrs. ofAaron Alexander's will dated 15 Nov 1771.William was Aaron's brother according to the will, and one of the witnesses was David Alexander.
On 29 May 1782, Zaccs Wilson was a witness to the will of Andrew Alexander. Abram Alexander was also a witness.
14 April 1783 Robert Hope and wife Catherine sold to Zacheus Wilson and wife Kiziah 15/1/4 acres.Witnesses:Robert Harris and Andrew Alexander.
2 Sec 1784 Zaccheus Wilson owned land adj. John Alexander, and Ezekial Sharp and his wife Catherine on both sides of Coddle Creek.
On 17 April 1772 Zaccheus Wilson, Daniel Alexander and John Alexander witnessed the will of Samuel Brown.
22 Aug 1787 Zacc. Wilson and Wm. Alexander witnessed a deed of Benjamin Alexander to Andrew Alexander (his son)
5 Aug 1787, Zacheus Wilson, County Surveyor witnessed a deedfor Andrew Alexander to Rev. Robert Archibald.
Also, do you know anything about Dorcas Amelia Alexander, the wife of Abraham Alexander having the maiden name of Wilson.I have seen that repeated several places but with no documentation.Apparently it came from letters or papers of William Sharpe(?).
I believe it wasAbraham and Dorcas Alexander's son Nathaniel (1767-1808) who married Jane Wilson Harris(1770-1842), the daughter of Robert Harris and Mary Wilson.Mary Wilson was likely the sister of Zaccheus Wilson. That info. came from the Rev. Nicholson Ross Morgan who's wife Mary W. Alexander was the daughter of Nathaniel and Jane Wilson Harris Alexander.
