Paulette:
GenForum didn't notify me that you had replied, so I am late getting back to you.

Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.I agree that Zaccheus Wilson was deeply involved on a long term basis with lots of the Mecklenburg ALEXANDERs, but I don't know -- with any certainty -- HOW he might have been 'related' to any of them.

I am also a descendant of Abraham Alexander 'signer' and his wife, Dorcas, through their only daughter, Elizabeth (m. William Sample Alexander)It is 'said' by nearly everyone that Dorcas was a WILSON.Long ago, I even saw it 'said' that she was a daughter of 'a' Zaccheus Wilson, but I have never seen ANY 'documented' proof for any maiden name for her!!It is true that Abraham & Dorcas' son, Nathaniel (1767-1808) married Jane Wilson Harris(1770-1842), the daughter of Robert Harris and Mary Wilson.I think that can be well documented, but I don't have any info on Mary Wilson's connection to Zaccheus Wilson.Unfortunately, a wonderful researcher who might know, Alice Campbell, died a few years ago.I have attempted to put my hands on the 'statements' of Rev. Nicholas Ross Morgan myself, because he is 'supposed' to have 'said' that Abraham Alexander was a son of Elias Alexander, but there are conflicts with that information too!!sigh, sigh, sigh.

I have seen a lot of people use "Amelia" (or "Almyra") as the middle name of Dorcas, wife of Abraham Alexander 'signer' -- but, here again, I can't find a document where it proves that she had this middle name. She had at least one granddaughter -- maybe two -- with the name Dorcas Amelia/Almyra -- and it is my personal opinion that people have just attributed that middle name to Abraham's wife.I can't prove that either.:>)

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
