Howdy Mike, Sorry I got the wrong name with the wrong Agnes. I've got four Agnes in one period of time in my Alexander tree. Here goes Again: Rev Thomas Craighead b.1660 and wife Margaret b.1664 had five children (Thomas, Jane, Andrew, John, and Alexander). Alexander married Agnes Brown and they had two daughters (Agnes and Margaret) "daughter Agnes" married John Alexander b.1733 and guess what they had a daughter called Agnes who married L.E. Newton. There were to many Mecklenburg Craigheads and Alexanders marrying cousins back then. I hope this clear up everything I messed up. Mike, I got most of this information from the book "Early Alexanders and Cloyd's Creek, Blount County, Tennessee" writen by my cuz Hazel Vance Alexander in 1991. It has 3 or 4 pages on the Craighead family and their connections with the Mecklenburg Alexander families.
Let me know if I can help you anymore, Happy Searching. The Half Breed (kd4tdn)
