I am very interested in this theory, but am confused as to how it is possible.Wamsutta (also known by the British-bestowed name, Alexander, for Alexander the Great) died in 1662. Wamsutta's younger brother, Matacomet (known by the British as King Philip) then took over as sachem, and he died on 12 Aug 1676, after starting a major war called King Philip's War. Philip Alexander was born in 1688--long after both of these Indians were dead. Also, Philip Alexander's son, Thomas, was born 6 Apr 1721. The Thomas Alexander who was born in 1727, was the son of Ebenezer Alexander and Mehitable Buck.
