Someone may have more, but I have very little. I once saw a reference to an Ebenezer's being in Spartanburg SC along with (the rest of) James's family before migrating to western KY. The reference gave no source for the information. Other than that, we know that both Ebenezer and Matthew appeared in Logan County KY very early, Matthew about 1791 or 1792. When Logan County parented Christian, Hopkins, etc., Ebenezer apparently resided in Hopkins, and Matthew still resided in Logan while some of Matthews children were in Christian.
There was an Ebenezer in Henry County with Matthews family before 1850, and I am trying to determine if he was one of Matthew's grandsons. While this would prove nothing, it could show that Ebenezer was a family name.
I have seen a claim that Ebenezer was well educated. This does not support his being in the same family as Matthew because Matthew could not read or write.
