Calloway Calvin Alexander (s/o Thomas Owen & Dicy Alexander) b. 11-4-1852 Upshur County,Tx. & d. by 1900 Tx. (m) ca.1869 Mrs.Rebeca (Becca) Graham b. ca.1840 Ga. (d/o Mr.Starnes & Rebecca b. ca. 1805 Ga.)
NOTES ON CALLOWAY & BECCA: Calloway's parents had moved from Lauderdale County Ms. in the fall of 1849 to Upshur County Tx. where they were enumerated in the 1850 census. Not long after Calloway's birth his parents moved the family back to Lauderdale County,Ms. for the next few years. By 1857 the family had returned to Tx. & this time settled in Titus County (in the part that eventually became Franklin County) where they were enumerated in the 1860 census.
About 1869 Calloway married a widow,Mrs. Receca (Becca) Starnes Graham. Becca was at least 12 years older than Calloway & had at least 4 children by her marriage to her 1st husband William Graham. In the 1860 census of Titus County,Tx. William Graham was enumerated with Becca & their children John A. b. ca.1857 & Joseph D. b. ca.1858. Rebecca Starnes,a widow,apparently Becca's mother was also living in the household. In the 1870 census of Titus County Calloway & Becca had a baby daughter,Ellen who was born in 1870 & their household also contained 2 additional Graham children, Elizabeth b. ca.1863 & Albert b. ca.1868. By the 1880 census Calloway & Becca had 3 additional children who were enumerated, William,Joshua & Bryant.
In the 1900 census Becca was residing with her daughter & was enumerated in her household near Hugo,Indian Territory.

(1) Susan "Ellen" Alexander b. 1870 Titus County,Tx.
(2) William (Willie) Alexander b. ca.1872 Tx.
(3) Joshua Alexander b. ca.1877 Tx. & d.ca.1909
(4) Bryant Alexander b. ca.1879 Tx.
I have alot of info to share with descendents of above family. I am a descendent of Joshua Alexander & I have most all of his descendents plus MANY ANCESTERS. Thanks so much, Kathy
