Dear Betty:Let me send you verbatim what the article in ALEXANDER KIN V II, pg. 181, says:
"Will of Andrew Springs, 1860.Wm. P. Alexander & Samuel W. Gillespie, gr. ch., infant ch. of my dec'd dau. Elisabeth V. Gillespie.(J/53)".This Will was in Mecklenburg Co., NC.
I take that to mean that the infant dau. of A. Spings was from his Springs daughter who m. Samuel W. Gillespie.Andrew's dau. was Elisabeth V. Springs, apparently.
I recall where I saw the name Boyce.A rel. Thomas Alburtus Alexander and 1st wife Annie Lee Corbett had a son named Boyce (could have been a dau.?who was b. 25 March 1893 and d. 17 Dec 1979 Memphis, TN.Not your Boyce kin most likely, unless the name followed Annie Lee Corbett's family line. Good Luck getting copy of Will.
If this Springs Will seems promising to you for some reason, there is a lot of data on the Springs in The Lineage and Tradition of The Family of John Springs III, edited by Maude Craig Mathews.Mac.
