I received a copy of Cowboy Alexander's obit today, along with his granddaughter Martha Guyton Kemp. Do love how the family told me she was never married again after she divorced my father, however the funeral record states that she was married at the time of her death.
Cowboy was born December 27, 1903 in Dublin to William T. and Onie (Pope) Alexander. He died Oct. 2, 1989. He lived in Monahans for 29 years. He married Trudie Hardy Nov 7, 1926. He is survived by Milton H. Alexander Jr and Billie Vann; 11 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Billie has since died. She died Nov. 15, 1996 @ the age of 65. She was a nurse. Cowboy has a double stone; other side is obviously for Trudie. Martha has a heart shaped stone next to Cowboy. Billie is reportedly buried next to her. Billie also has two other children: Trudie Wright and Allison Byars, both living in Odessa. I do know that Billie m. a Barton E. Vann in 1977 and divorced him a year and a half later in 1978.
The obit does not mention any brothers or sisters at all. Do you perhaps have the dates for Henry Clayton and William Thomas? Where there any other siblings? Or do you perchance know how many more children William Thomas and his wife Onie had?
