Dear Peg:I show that William Alexander, Jr., and wife Catherine Wallace, had a dau. Agnes who was b. about 1705 per my info.
Wm. Alexander, Jr., was s/o William Sr., s/o Rev. James and Mary (Maxwell) Alexander (some believe are the parents of the 7 + 2).
Agnes Alexander married William, s/o Elias, Sr. & gson/o Andrew Alexander, one of the 7. Some of this is found in Alexander Kin, Vol I.
In the "7", we have Agnes, the gdau. of Wm. Alexander, Sr., through Jr., marrying the gson of Andrew, whose name was William, through his son, whose name was Elias.
To further complicate things, we are told that another of the "7", Joseph Alexander, had a dau. Sophia, who married Elias, s/o Andrew of the "7".So, the Wm., who was s/o Andrew, is the composite of not only Andrew, but 2 other of the "7", i.e., Joseph and Wm., Sr.
Out of this triad of brothers came forth a great man, Col. Adam Alexander, who m. my great aunt, Mary Shelby, all of Mecklenburg. The granddau. of Adam and Mary, Margaret Means Alexander, married my uncle of yore, Col. Moses Winslow Alexander (not the Dr.). Thru' Adam and Mary's son, Charles Taylor Alexander and wife Margaret Means.
Hope this helps. If I can be of further service, pls call on me.Mac of Cypress, TX.
