I'm afraid I can't show a connection at this time.I've just begun researching my Douglas(s) line. Here's what I do have:
Joseph Walker Douglas(s):b 1842 or 1843/12/31, Cabarrus, NC; moved from NC to MS; d 1926/11/9, TN, Henry.
First wife, name unknown, 3 children–Joseph C?., Robert, Clara, all born in MS (Pontotoc, MS, I think).
Second wife, Louisa Janie Eves, b 1862/2/?, d 1901/5/22, m 1890/11/16, Henry Co., 2 children–William M. & Linda, both born in TN
Joseph W. fought in the Civil War in Co. K, 22nd MS, CSA.His brother, B. F. Douglas(s) fought in the same unit.Joseph moved to TN from Pontotoc, MS, about 1878.His parents may have been Mary Walker & Thomas Douglass (from NC); his first wife may have been Alice Thorn & they may have lived in Water Valley, MS, where he moved from NC.His known siblings were B. F. Douglas(s) and Thomas Douglas(s).Sylvia
