Cuz, you got me!I have a great feeling about our kinship!!
I am leaving for a few days, but should be back by next Wed.Please, let me hear about you and where you fit into the Alexanders.
I suppose that you have seen some of my own line on the Net.
Briefly, Benjamin and Susannah (Polk) Alexander met apparently in PA (she was born in Cumberland Co., PA, near Carlisle; he was born in MD probably, and they had at least first two sons in Bucks Co., PA.An article said that they came to Mecklenburg Co., NC, from Germantown which is west of Philadelphia PA.They settled down in Mecklenburg along Sugar Crk, for one, and later, Mallard Crk in Cabarrus Co., NC.My 2G-greatgrandparents took entire family and migrated to Jasper Co., MS, about 1845, where I was born.
I had a couple of James Alexanders as uncles of yore at 5G- and 6G-greatgrandparent levels. But, I have absolutely nothing on them or their descendants.I have most of the rest of the families, at least, the siblings.Other exceptions:Jonathan & Wm C. Alexander, sons of Wm "Black Billy" who is my 4G-greatgrandfather.I have only a little info on them. And, their brother, Isaac Alexander, m. Catherine (nee) from VA. I do not know her maiden name but have many descendants (100's) of theirs (KY, MO, etc).
