I am a "model Shipwright" reseaching a colonial schooner that fought the British Navy off Nassau Bahamas in 1776. Wasp was driected by a "Capt. Alexander" and I am trying to determine if "Capt James Alexander" is in fact the captain of the Wasp (a schooner converted in Philly). If so, would any of you have or know of any "captain's logs" (or other ship crew logs) mentioning the "Wasp"?? I am hoping to find enough information to make a historically accurate model of this ship. I only have a painting of the Wasp so far. Not sure of its true accuracy yet.
