I have Ballingarry Co Limerick baptisms -
John 1828 which matches your John , and
Eliz 1831 which does not match your Eliz

In the 1871 census of Collingwood Township, Grey County , Ontario Div 2 page 7 there are 2 Johns b 1820 and b 1859 and 1 Eliz b 1833

I think you will be able to eliminate Ontario because you know where your Alexanders were in 1871

What about Ballingarry ? Still possible ?
