I have found several posts with documentation stating that the wife of Samuel Alexander b. 1657? in Ireland was Mary Taylor, dau. of Elias/George Taylor and Comfort Anderson (dau. of William Anderson). They were married circa 1680 and had seven children over the next decade or so. However I also find that Mary Taylor, dau. of Elias Taylor and Comfort Anderson married John Kendall circa 1725 and had six children over the next few years. The same woman did not have seven children during the 1680's and seven more during the 1720's forty years later. Both claims have written documentation by researchers supporting their dates and families. William Anderson left a will which was probated in 1698, naming his daughter Comfort and granddaughters Elizabeth, Naomi and Comfort Taylor. No Mary was mentioned. Assuming a birth date of around 1630-1640 for William, a birthdate of 1660-1670 for his daughter Comfort, would mean that granddaughter Mary would have been an infant when she married Samuel Alexander. Does anyone know anymore about these age discrepancies?Could the Mary who married Samuel be another Taylor?Hopefully one of the knowledgable researchers who post here can help me with this predicament. Thank you.
