The Rev. Archibald Alexander D.D., President of the Theological Seminary of Princeton, N.J., was a native of this county, and married a daughter of the "Blind Preacher." (see page 417)
There is a story on page 417 which recounts a trip made by a traveller in VA., passing the church of the "Blind Preacher." The story is extensive, colorful, but long story short, the "Blind Preacher," is James Waddel. I don't know if this helps or not, but maybe! The article goes on to state that the story was told in a memoir by James W. Alexander, grandson of the "Blind Preacher."
