Looking for some connection to Cecil Co.,MD Alexanders! I have some Alexander ancestors buried in Sharp's Graveyard,Fair Hill,Cecil Co.,MD. They seem to be the mother and siblings of my Thomas Alexander (1775-1843) who came to America around 1801 from N.Ireland. He eventually settled in Oxford,PA.,married Ann EWING of Lancaster Co.,PA., and became Oxford's first burgess in 1838.I feel my Thomas and family came to Cecil Co.,MD because of Alexander realtives coming to that area before them. Thomas's relatives in Sharp's Graveyard(as of 1872): CATHARINE,b.1735,d.1814,wife of NINION(Ninian)-MOTHER ANDREW,b.1767,d.1840 (tanner)-BROTHER JOSEPH,b.1776,d.1860 (banker and/or farmer)-BROTHER MARTHA (ALEXANDER)HUGHES,b.1768,d.1851-SISTER,along with her husband Robert HUGHES and 2 daughters. Any clues welcome. Thank you!
