We believe W.s.Alexander (Winfield Scott) to have been born Indiana, Vienna, Lancaster,Scott 9these may be counties ??? in Indiana, 7 Oct., 1849, we believe he either was adopted or was raised by the Moses Lewis family, in those counties. Winfield's father may have been Benjamin Alexander, born around 1803 in North Carolina ???? we believe his mother was a Susan Wiseman, born around 1820 in Kentucky???Winfield had a brother named Will, and Zacharai (sp) a sister Polly Ann, half brothers: Ben, David, John, Robert, Jim, William, and half sisters; Susan, and Mary. Winfield's brother Will had a son named Robert Alexander, his brother Zacharai, had a son, George Washington Alexander. The Moses Lewis family, had two sons, Elijah and Daniel.
