In my information I have very few of the Alexanders names except my direct line. I do have some notes. I am sure john Jr. and Jonathan S. are not the same. John Jr. after serving some time in thw milita in NY returns to and settlein Brattleboro Area (at one time oldest person in Brattleboro, He is listed as a founder on Brattleboro. The only other sibling of John that I have is Joel. In a previous message Barry W. had refered to Levi Sawtell as being the only survivor of the Sawtell family. His parents and 5 siblings had burn to death in their cabin fire of the mid 1780's.He said there might be a relationship between Jonathons' Mother? and Levis' Father.Levis' Father was Henry Sawtell and he was from Templeton MA. and was 41 when he died.Levi was visiting in MA at the time of the fire.I have a little interest in this family because the cabin had been located in a field behind my family homestead.I remember in the mid '30s when we were living there a historic marker about the fire was placed just past our house. The Alexanders were at Fort Dummer and at Fort Bridgeman in Vernon(John was looking for cows there when he escaped the Indian raid).Between the 2 forts there was another that I believe was Sartle. You have to realize this is a distance of about 5 miles between Dummer and Bridgeman.
