1850 Hall Image 147
Joseph Alexander 40 born NC
L or P 37born SC
JF-18,B-16,G-14,P-12,L-10,R-8,C-6,A-3
All children but A were born SCA was born GAThat means they moved to GA between 1844 and 1847.I can't seem to find them after that except for B's wife. Hall county marriage certificate 1854 has B I Alexander married to Sarah Cochram. They had my g grandmother, Jane. I'm thinking maybe the rest moved onto AL. I think JF is the James F Alexander Hall County who lost his legs in the Civil War. He too disappeared. In 1870 and 1880 Sarah was raising 4 children by herself but didn't list "widow".Am curious as to Joseph's parents from NC moved to SC (or he could have moved on his own???)Have not been able to locate a Joseph in SC with the children's ages in 1840.Does anyone have a clue?
