My information is limited, as far as histories and details.
I scoured this forum looking for info, or a connection, but wasn't able to find any even with all the Ontario posts.
These are the people for whom I am searching:
William Alexander (c1801): from County Tyrone, Ireland; he is my 4th-ggfather; married Jane Thompson (c1814) abt 1828.
William and Jane has three sons whom immigrated to Canada @ 1852 to the Carleton area: John, Thomas and R.L. Alexander. Oddly enough, every piece of info on R.L. refers to him that way, so I have no idea what his name is (though I suspect it's Robert).
John Alaxander (c1832) is my 3rd-ggfather, and he married Elizabeth Graham (c1837) from Goulbourne Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada.
All three Alexanders were instrumental in the founding, and running, of some towns in Ontario including Elma, Trowbridge, Listowel and Britton.
Some of my information is from actually digging around the stacks in the Listowel Library; other pieces of info (like immigration date) are from a letter from a grandaunt.
