Mr. Alex, I think we might be on to something here. The Woodhams married into the Alexanders also.I am trying to find out how my Harrisons became connected to the Alexanders, because these families usually, split and moved with all of their support services and usually intermarried, cousins etc.My ancestors on my father's mother's side are Branons and Galloways through marriages cureton and wiggins. The Edward Woodham family has done some extensive research and their daughter married an Alexander. They mention witnessing a baptism of slaves of a Benjamin Harrison.I believe it is this Benjamin in my previous post. They moved from Va. to N.C. (Dobbs Co.) to South Carolina Kershaw District and then to Ga. and then to Alabama and some moving on to Texas. There is a 1769 Tax list for N. C with both Edward, Sr. Edward,Jr.Woodham are on it with a John Oxley Harrison I believe there is also a Alexander on that Tax list. It can be researched by going to USGENWEB ARCHIVES SEARCH NC Are you searching for this Robert Alexander? Teresa Are you familiar with an Asa Alexander? found around 1820 Georgia? I think Jones Co.I have it in my file Microsoft word.My Alexanders Calvin and Abner moved to Alabama Henry Co.
