The more I dig the more complicated it gets with the Alexander family. The Alexander's brought over on the ship Welcome probably part of the William Penn Colony, the 7 original Alexander brothers who first arived in America.George Alexander who married Margaret Glasson was well known for having a sons Hugh, James, and John and also two nephews but it was not mentioned that there where also several of his brothers and a sister living in and around Nottingham, Chester County,Pennsylvania. This family Spread to the Carolinas(Mecklinburg), into Virginia and the the original County's of Pennsylvania and at different times migrating back again possibly due to enherited lands.I coppied the names of these Alexanders which I will post below, and I am guessing that most of the early Alexander's stem from this family in Central Pa.Chris
