"I will & bequeath to the children of my first wife,Mary Ann Alexander, Henry V. Alexander, John T. Alexander, Sarah J. Blythe & William I. Alexander, sixty acres of land more or less off of the East end of the tract upon which I now reside & have resided for a number of years past in the state and county above named and in Dist. No. 9, possession to be given them the 25th day of December 1860 as in accordance with a provision of a will by me made the 14th Nov. 1859.Said sixty acres of land more or less to be contained within the boundaries of the survey as made by I.A. Aidrs in laying off said land. And in consideration the fact that Henry V. Alexander, John T. Alexander William I. Alexander have already received of me in property to the amount of fifty dollars each, above which has been received by their four sisters above named, it is my will Mary Ann Alexander, Elizabeth Wyatt, Rebecca F. Alexander and Sarah I. Blythe be paid the sum of fifty dollars each by their brothers above named out of the proceeds of said sixty acres of land and the remainder to be equally divided among them all, share and share alike, and if one or more of them should die without heirs before they come in possession of said land, it is my will, that their share or shares as the case may be, shall belong to their brothers and sisters above named, but if one or more of them should decease as aforesaid, having heirs, his or her heirs shall receive the share or shares of such one or ones.It is furthermore my will that my executor sell as soon as convenient the above mentioned sixty acres of land and divide the proceeds arising from the sale of the same as above directed among my above named children. Item 2.I will and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth the remainder of my said tract to have and to hold during her natural life.Should I die before she does, and at her death, it shall descend to my children by her to wit, Susannah S.B., Emily H., McCaga C., Robert H., Joseph H. E. & Martha M. C. Alexander together with all of my personal property of which I may die possessed after paying all my just debts and should it be the case that my personal property is not sufficient to pay said debts, it is my desire that enough of my land above set apart to my wife Elizabeth and her children, shall be laid off and sold for that purpose.Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint my son Henry V. Alexander to be executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.This August 19th, 1866.
