YEP..I'm here to tell you they had at least one son.. LOL because I descend from Samuel "Huston" ALEXANDER. (I'm waiting on a list of descendants from a census and will send them to you when I have them.) He married Manerva Catherine ABBOTT/ABBETTS, in January of 1856, Wilson Co. TN.
They had seven children, including twins, my gggrandmother, Ella Belle and Mary "Molly", b. July 4, 1857,Monroe Wilson, b. 1859, Meridian Alice "Allie", and 3 others who's names I don't know.(They are listed by initials only on the 1880 census.)
Ella Belle ALEXANDER married John Calvin "John Injun" PATTON in Jan. of 1880 or 81 and had 4 children MayBelle Clara, Jessie Pearl, Edith and Claud.She died when Claud was a baby, but not before asking her twin, Mary, "Molly" to marry John Calvin PATTON and raise her children. "Molly" and John married in 1891 and had 3 more children, Jennie and Julia, twins who died as children, one at age 3 mos. the other at 3 yrs. of age and a son, Paul who lived a long life.After John and Molly married, they along with Monroe Wilson ALEXANDER and his wife, Nancy PATTON ALEXANDER, (a sister of John Calvin PATTON)and I found out yesterday another sister, Allie, all moved to TX and then to Oklahoma Territory,where many of the family still live.
Monroe and Nancy ALEXANDER, lived in El Reno, OK until their children were ready to attend college and then moved to Norman.John and Molly PATTON moved to Independence a small community southeast of Norman, where their daughter, my ggrandmother, MayBelle Clara, met her childhood sweetheart, Samuel Lee HOWARD, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1905, in Norman.
Samuel "Huston" and Manerva Catherine ALEXANDER, along with Monroe and Nancy ALEXANDER and John and Molly PATTON with two of their children, son, Claud, and daughter, Edith PATTON REA and her infant child are all buried in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman, Cleveland Co. OK
