Still looking for that elusive information on how you or anyone else ties Wm H Alford to Job Alford in either Wake Co., NC or any of the counties around Harris Co., GA.Have you found it or are we still surmising. If he's the G-son of Job, who's Job's son and Wm. H.'s father?
Since nearly everyone reads this forum, let's not state an unknown as fact.Others will take your guess work and spread it.This makes it harder to discern the truth.Enough errors exist already. We all still make them.
If there is a hard fact or even reasonably goodfactual logic that would tie William H. Alford in as a 'direct' descendant of Job, then I too would like to connect my records to the 'distant' Alford immigrants. But I don't accept the fact that just because there were several Alfords residing in the same GA TRI-County area in the same time frame that they were 'direct descendant' related.Maybe Uncles/Cousins/?, but, as in Math, without some hard fact... it is a sheer guess.E.G. I have hard evidence that an Alford LIVING in the same household with other Alfords in GA was in-fact PROBABLY not related. But no PROOF.I can only speculate.
Also, on my father's side, I have two UNrelated McSorley's marrying. My files show several INTRA-family marriages. In addition, I have 'just about' proved my wife and I are distantly 'related'.You and I are at some point.
Still want to see your work.Even the 'noted' theories on William H.But please leave the 'un-noted' guess work on the Florida panhandle Alfords.I clean up enough errors in other lines as it is.
