Yes this is a long shot, but I had put this family on genforum.com knowing that it is was a long shot for me to do, as well.Sometimes you can get lucky, thou. Here is what I think.I have no clue as in if there is a connection here.It is possible. There are several things I would do to find out.First off, what I would do, which I did and posted for you below, is go over Erath and Hamilton Counties on rootsweb.com for the surnames Alford and Oliver. Here is the info.:
There was a John Alford and a Kemp Alford that bought land in Hamilton County, Texas. In Erath County there was a W. J. Oliver & a Robert Oliver that bought land.
Also, I found at this address: http://searches1.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/archives/tx/hamilton/cemetery/hico.txthttp://searches1.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/archives/tx/hamilton/cemetery/hico.txt
a Moses was buried here.This is Hico Cemetery in Hamilton County.Son of W. J. & Mattie Oliver.Born 12/6/1896 & Died August 13, 1897.
This link is a partial listing of this cemetery and I'm sure there were more Olivers there.
Also, I found
"Oliver, Miss M. P., Hico, Voting Precinct No. 7....Hico"
This was the 1937 voting Precints for Hamilton Co., TX.

Now what I would do after searching rootsweb is go here:
There you can print the document and snail mail it.This would be the social security document with her SS# on it.If the link doesn't work than go to searches.rootsweb.com and click on the social security death index link and put here social in and than click on the link to the very right.I have snail mailed several of these letters in the past and I had to wait up to 8 to 10 weeks for a reply letter. You have to have patients when working with this office.I could verify her parents and her birth place.
