Hi Faye, I maintain the Robert ALFORD line for the AAFA. I read what Lynn told you with some interest since the 1840 census leaves me with an unaccounted female between the ages of 5 and 10. This female could be the sister of Levisa - her name is not Louisa. If so, she would have been old enough to be married in 1850. She also could have stayed in AL with one of her uncles. (David ALFORD and most of his family left AL in December 1844 heading to AR). There seems to be at least one son (John N.) who remianed in AL.On the other hand is is also possible (as Lynn mentioned) that your Louisa is the daughter of John N. or even of William H. Both of these men are brothers to Levisa. And both married in AL around 1831. They married sisters. If you can provide any names of your Louisa's siblings, etc. it might help us tie some of these people together.
