I took some more time to dissect this original message and to explore exactly where I might fill some wholes in on the message you wrote. Some of the new info contained herein is stuff I think you already know, but is repeated here to confirm that we are discussing the same person.I will put quote marks around the data that I think you may not know or are looking for additional confirmation of. Note 1. Saral and Mary Polly Jackson were married on Nov. 20, 1787 in "Boston Corners, NY."Note 2.1st Son, Oliver was born in "Vermont" on Feb. 15, 1788...(as an asside, according to my calculations, that would have made Polly six months pregnant when she got married).Note 3. Daughter,Maurice (Marcena) was born in "Vermont" on May 15, 1790.Note 4. Margaret was born on April 14, 1792 in "Vermont".She died on " ?/?/1866".She was "married" to "Samuel Fosdick".Note 5. Joseph was born on Apr. 23, 1794 in "Vermont".He was "married" to "Prudence Fosdick".Note 6. Orphena was "married" to a "Mr. Carey". Note 7. Delos "died on April 08, 1865".Note 8.Following are additional notes on the family of Truman Alger and Charlott "Unk" Alger and their children.I show the names of the children differently from your list as follows: "First Daughter - Lavisa who married Amos Brown.Son, Truman "b. ? Dec. 1834, d. 03 Jan 1907; married Sarah Jane Smith, b. 27 Apr 1845, d. 22 Feb 1920".Son Serril "(Tip)" Alger married to Mary ?". Son,William R. (Called Bill) was married to "Minnie Smith" of Coon Rapids, Iowa; Daughter, Matilda was married to "W.H. Mowder" and is buried in the Alger Cemetary. Note 9.Roxanna died on "Dec. 27, 1857". Note 10. Matilda died on "Mar. 14, 1881, age 35y, 8 mos., 7 dys" this would place her birth approx. Dec. 07, 1845.; Matilda's gravesite in Alger Cemetary also includes another grave showing "Anettie d. 1 Sep 1872, age 10 mos, 7 days, dau of H & M (probably W.H. Mowder and Matilda)".(My guess is that W.H. Mowder is probably buried in the Mowder Cemetary with a 2nd wife, since Matilda died at age 35). Note 12. The William Knight marker in Alger cemetary was broken when read in 1982, but unbroken portion reads..."d. 07 Dec 1841, age ? yrs. 3 mos. 12 dys."Note 13. Another discovery in the Alger Cemetary that adds to the family information set is that one of Lyman's children's (Almira) daughter, Mary D. Alger Berroud is buried there. The marker reads: "BERROUD...., Mary D. d.24 JUl 1868, age 1 mo. 8 d., daughter of L & A." This would be the daughter of Almira L. Alger Berroud and Louis F. Berroud.Note 14. As previously mentioned, Truman Alger and Charlott Unk are buried in the Alger Cemetary.Charlott's marker indicates she died on "06 Dec 1884, age 85 y. 6d., wife of Truman".Truman's marker reads: "Truman d. 16 Apr 1872, Age 64y. 10m. 10d.".Note 15. Marcena M. Alger Knight was married on "29 Oct 1853".Note 16.Edward Franklin Knight was "b. 12 Jan 1819, d. 06 Jan 1899".He was married on "29 Oct 1853" (to Marcena).(Given the date scenarios here, probably a different Marcena that the Maurice (Marcena) dau of Saral and Mary Polly Jackson Alger.
