Hi Susan, I'm tracing a co-workers family tree for him.He is descended from the Southern CA Algee/Alger/Algeo/Algea's. I've traced his line from LA County, CA, back to TX, MO, TN and Francis Algee born 1762 in NC.Do you have the information about the family lineage between Francis and the first Algee to come to the North American continent from Scotland?I was also trying to find the origin of the family from as far back as possible.Looks like it is Italy, which goes along with what he heard. My co-worker's line is:
Francis Algea b. 1762 in NC m. Mary/Margaret/Margery Pitt Robert H. Algea/Algee b. 1788 NC 2nd m. Eliz. G. Stockard Robert Clark Algee b. 1832 TN m. Margaret C. Mooring Henry Adolphus Algee ("aka Adolph") b. 1858 TN m. unknown Arthur F. Algee b. 1883 MO m. May E. unknown Garland E. Alea/Alger (" aka Dick") b. 1914 TX m. Ruby (living) Gary R. Algea b. 1956 Southern CA m. 3x (all 3 living) Jason (my co-worker) b. Northern CA
Can you send the missing parts of the family tree to me either on-line to firstname.lastname@example.org or as a written / printed copy by snail-mail?I’m not charging my co-worker for my services.Genealogy is a fun hobby for me. Thanks for posting the family information.
