From my research, it appears that Louis Charles Allard was born 8/29/1852 in Gervais, Marion Co., OR to Magliore Allard, a store owner on St. John Street in Montreal, and Elizabeth Snowden. Magliore was also known as Louis. He died in abt. 1870 in Wolf Lodge, Idaho, along Mullen Road by a Nez Perce Indian. Elizabeth Snowden was either a Cree or Willamette Indian and she died in 1865. Louis Charles died on 7/21/1896 and it appears that he was married three times to Catherine?, Emerence Brown, married 12/10/1875; and Louise Denise Courville, married 7/11/1892. Louis and Emerence (d/o Louis Brown and Emily Tchlose) had Charles Allard, b. 10/26/1878, Frenchtown, MT, married Lulu Spurgeon on 3/11/1905; Louis Magliore Allard, b. 10/1879, died 1930; Martena Allard, b. 1/10/1882, Frenchtown, MT, died 12/7/1884; Arthur Allard, b. 11/19/1884, Frenchtown, MT; d. 1/15/1886; Mary Theresa Allard, born 1885; d. 1887; and John B. Allard, b. 6/24/1885, c. 1/14/1886 (it appears that the last two might be twins); and Joseph Allard, born 11/2/1896 (after the death of Louis) and died 9/19/1964, married Adaline Palin (I wonder if you can see Russia from Montana).
