I don't believe I can be of help on this. While I am certain from the circumstantial evidence in my previous post that Daniel Newton Allard was the son of Samuel and Lorana, I don't believe he is the Daniel Allard who married Susan Swope.
Daniel Newton Allard died in 1917 and was buried in Jackson Co, WV. His close connections through his life with the Maxon family in Gallia Co are a strong indication of his belonging to that line, but he never moved west. His wife, Almena Saunders Allard, survived him, passing away in 1928 at age 94.
I'm afraid I don't have anything on the parentage of the Daniel Allard who married Susan Swope.
I do have one correction on Lorana Maxon Allard. The Maxon genealogy listed her date of death as 1853, but she was still in the census with Samuel through 1870. I was sent the text of a newspaper article a few years ago describing the discovery of a previously unknown cemetary in Morgan Co. The article mentioned Lorana Allard's stone being found with a date of 1879.
