I don't know if I can help with "your" problem or not, but, I do suspect that in a post about a month ago, you have the names of the Daniel Allards mixed up, and knowing which Daniel you are working with greatly helps to keep them straight.
Daniel Newton Allard did not go to Kansas, nor did he marry Susanna and Ruth.It appears he died in 1917 and is buried in Ravenswood Cemetery in Jackson County, WV.
The Daniel Allard of this message did marry Susanna and Ruth and died in 1882 in Soldier, Jackson County, KS, and is buried in Ontario, Nemaha, KS.
The third Daniel Allard, who married Mercy Bickford, died in 1849 in Hocking County, OH.
Information on Joseph Allard and Mary Oliver, as a family, is, as you have noticed, hard to come by, and some logical deductions have been made to identify them as the parents of Daniel (1821-1882).Some of those deductions include identifying and documenting the remaining Daniel Allards, and the siblings of all three.Any information you or anyone else may find on the family of Joseph and Mary would be greatly appreciated if you would choose to share it.
There does seem to be some conflicting information on the marriage date for Daniel and Susanna -- Kathy Brawn lists a marriage date of 20 May 1841 at Morganville, Morgan, OH for them, while Beryl Goodwin (Mrs F D) Coulson, DAR, trans & comp, in 'Early Marriages of Morgan County, Ohio', 1819-1864, gives adate of 2 Dec 1840.Perhaps one is a license and the other is a wedding, I do not know.
The published Maxon/Maxson Family genealogy does seem to contain some errors relating to Daniel Allard.
