Altough I am not related to any Allard, I have the following information that I wish to give to all of you:
FRANCOIS ALLARD (c. 1637-1726) Son of Jacques Allard and Jacqueline Frérot of Notre-Dame de Blacqueville, archbishopric of Rouen in Normandy, he signed a mariage contract before a notary named Becquet, on Sunday October 18, 1671, with Jeanne Languille, daughter of Michel Languille and Étiennette Toucheraine of Artannes-sur-Indre, archbishopric of Tours in Touraine, and he wedded her in Québec on the first Sunday of November 1671. From this union eight children were born. He must have arrived in Québec in 1666 on the same ship as his uncle Thomas Frérot. They were of the same age. In 1667, he worked as a laborer for Anne Ardouin, the widow of Jacques Badeau, on the seigneury of Notre-Dame-des-Anges. Later he lived on a 13 arpents farm at Bourg-Royal. On June 3, 1685 he added 40 arpents of land which he bought from Georges Staims and Marie Pérodeau. Around 1770, he donated to Jean Renaud dit Chatonnault, the spouse of his daughter Anne, 20 arpents of the land in Bourg-Royal. His wife, Jeanne Languille died in Charlesbourg June 27, 1709. He died also in Charlesbourg and was interred there on October 25, 1726. It is said that he had a fine handwriting. Good luck to all. Georges C.
