I am a descendant of one of the Allards that came over from France to Canada.I actually seen parts of that book you are referring to.One of those books are at a place called, Union Saint Jean de Baptiste.It is in Woonsocket,RI.It is being runned by nuns.My Ancestor Is Francois Allard.
