Don't know too much about checking geneology, but I'm trying and not having any luck so far with the above names. Only know that these families were very secretive about speaking their native tongues. I had always assumed there was a person names Marie Cote that was abducted by Natives or it could have been that she was the child of an elder and raised by Catholic Nuns in the New York, Canada area having come from the Great Lakes area, in fact this is ringing a bell now and is part of a true story in a history book. I am sure you would be able to find out by using her name. If you have any luck please let me know. My grandfather name for the Cote's side was Anthony or Antone- the Allard was Rosaire and the Ouimette, well I couldn't tell you at all.
