I have held the Allegretti family manuscripts in my hands. It dates back to the early early 1200s. My uncle is a very well repected archaeologist in Italy. He was able to track the info down. The manuscripts are now goverment property. The manuscript tells the story and it goes like this. The Allegretti family was a noble family in Siena Italy. The Medici family killed everyone of them but one woman named Margherita Allegretti. She was able to excape and later on had a son. She gave the family name to her son and he passed the name on. If you don't belive it well, go to the library in FlorenceItaly and ask to see it. This manuscript ties every Allegretti together. I have tried to get copies of the manuscript but it is not so easy. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them the best I can by asking my father and uncle. I will do my best to get some kind of copy and I will scan it and send to who ever wants it free of charge. I really hope I can do that. I would also love to get in contact with any Allegretti that reads this and would like to share info and talk. That would be very cool. take care. Ciao!
