There is a William Allen who married Mary __?__.They were living in Kanawha Co./Mason Co., VA (now WV) in 1800-180?.He was the son of my ancestor, Robert Allen, Sr. (circa 1715-1790) of Augusta Co., VA.They were Scotch-Irish Presbyterians. This William and Mary Allen had a son, William Allen, Jr., who married Lucy/Lucinda Starke. This is a collateral line to me.
My evidence of this comes from a 15 Feb. 1810 deed in Kanawha Co., VA from William Allen and Lucy his wife "of the county of Mason" to Claudius Buster (acreage not given) in Kanawha Co., VA on the Kanawha River and Cabin Creek which "William Allen has title to and claims by his intermarriage with his wife Lucy formerly Lucy Starke which Wiat Starke her father died possessed of adjoining the land of George Smith and others."
William Allen, Jr. died by 1818 as Lucy Allen, his widow, conveyed her dower interest in some land to John Seibriel on 2 November 1818 (in either Kanawha Co., VA or Mason Co., VA), land which was formerly conveyed to John Seibriel by William Allen, Jr., during his lifetime. This land was on 3 Mile Creek, a branch of the Kanawha River. The witnesses were John Stark, Zachariah Hoy (Hay?) and Charles H. Hoy (Hay?).
I do not know what happened to Lucy (Starke) Allen after 1818.
Are you talking about the same Wyatt/Wiat Starke as I am?
