John C. Allen, b. 1813 Kentucky

Am looking for any leads to John C. Allen, b. 1813, Kentucky. I can trace him from 1839 in Brown Cty, Ohio, when he married Elizabeth Fite, to 1874 Lawrence Cty, Illinois, where he died, but can't find his parents. Any information would be appreciated.
