Jesse and Jane Mildred Small Allen were married in Nelson County VA * 23 Feb 1836.I have no confirmation of children born in Virginia from family keepsakes.. The only information I have is from research and conatcts like this.here is what I have so far.
Jesse and Jane Mildred Small Allen were known or suspected to be parents of the the following children * indicates I have documents to support, lack of the asterick means I have some solid leads but no FIRM documentational relationships. Here goes

EPHRAIM ALLEN shows up lving with the family on the 1860 federal cencus in Christian county he was 18 at the time, and shows he was born in VA... but not sure he is a son, could be other relative, but age fits..trying to find him right now...

Jno Allen on 1849 census father Jessie Allen, New Madrid, Mo.
I have a note from firstname.lastname@example.org saying JESSE was a cousin of that ALLEN line and thinks Jesse's father was ANDREW ALLEN of North Carolina, so far no supporting documentation or e-mails.
This pretty much summarizes what I have been able to find on Jesse also spelled JESSIE J. ALLEN. No information on siblingsor parents etc...
The coorelation between where you people are located and how this family who moved like vagabonds for a period, sure seems like there may be value in the research, but then again there are a lot of Allens in the area in the mid 1800's.
