Does anyone out there have information on a family that came over from Spain in the mid to late 1700's, and met tragedy. The parents and all but two of the children were massacred. The two children who survived were adopted by the Allen family of Rutherford Co., NC. One was a girl, about 10 years old, the other her younger brother. There is a tie-in to David Allen and his wife Mary Johnston. Perhaps they are the adoptive parents. Frances Allen and her brother Drury Hubbard Allen may be either the adoptees, renamed, or children of the female adoptee. Frances Allen had a son named Marion Burrzeleous Allen who gave his daughter a Spanish name "Alvarado Allen". Frances' brother, Drury Hubbard Allen had three daughters with distinctly Spanish names, each containing "Alvarado". If anyone out there has any info, please help with this longstanding family mystery. Thanks.
