Hi James, Ran across your post online and was wondering if you could possibly help me in any way. I am researching the line of an
Abner(Absolom) Allen, b. abt 1818, in NC, according to what I have found on him.
He was found in 1841, in Carroll Co., Ga.
were he wed Elizabeth Blackwell. They had three children: James, Sarah E. and John.
The family moved on into Talladega Co., Al.,
by the 1850's. In 1853, Abner wed Emeline
Hobbs and they had the following children:
Rebeckah, Lourania, Susan C., St. Terasia(Tursey) C.L., Nancy Melvina, Robert M., and
Emma G. Tursey was my great-grandmother.
I have been researching the family and
can't seem to place Abner with his family.
When I found Abner(Absolom) in 1841, in the
tax records, there was also a James B. Allen and a Samuel Allen in Carroll Co., Ga. in
1840 census records, but I can't connect them to my Abner. I also found a David Allen
listed in Talladega Co., Al. which is were my Abner ended up. By chance can you or anyone help me place my Abner with his family any help is surely appreciated.
