My mother-in-law had a copy of her Allen family tree that went "back to the Mayflower."Whatever it was, has been lost and I am trying to rebuild whatever it might have been. At this point I have little beyond a few names but am hoping they ring a bell with someone.
I am back to a SAMUEL ALLEN m 1630 to a MARY LAMB who are said to have migrated from Bridgewater England to Baintree, MA.
SAMUEL and MARY LAMB ALLEN had a son, also SAMUEL ALLEN JR. b 1632 who married SARAH PARTRIDGE:Their children are: SAMUEL ALLEN JR. m MARY PRATT; Other children are Essial Allen, Mehitable Allen, Sarah Allen, Bethia Allen, Nathaniel Allen, Ebenezar Allen, Josiah Allen, Elisha Allen, and Nehimiah Allen.
SAMUEL ALLEN JR. was b 1660 was married twice -- to MARY PRATT and Rebeckah (Rebecca) Carey. MARY'S children were Mary Allen, Rebecca Allen,Matthew Allen and Seth Allen, and BENJAMIN ALLEN.Rebecca's children were Samuel Allen III, Ephriam Allen, Timothy Allen, Joseph Allen, and Mehitable Allen.
BENJAMIN ALLEN b 1702 married #1 Rebeckah _?__and had children: Joseph Allen, Timothy Allen, Amasa Allen b (7 March 1753 - d 22 Dec 1820) m Alice Lord. The NAME OF THE SECOND WIFE IS UNKNOWN but their children were JOHN ALLEN (b 1762, d 1824) married TERZAH MORGAN, Ethan A. Allen, and Herman Allen. There is nothing here to suggest that this Ethan Allen is THE Ethan.
JOHN ALLEN (b 1762 - d 1824)and m TERZAH MORGAN (dau of PETER MORGAN) John migrated to Kinsman, Ohio in 1806, served in the Rev War at Groton, CT before he was 21 and was a Pvt,CT.Their children were Benjamin Allen, Betsy Allen, Peter Allen, EUNICE ALLEN who m JEHIEL MEACHAM at Kinsman, Ohio, Lois Allen, Daniel Allen, Lucretis Allen, and Frances T Allen.
From this point onward we descend through the Meacham family.
I am trying to find a direction to locate documentation to these names.YouR help is appreciated.
