Hello, Robb. I was unaware of a couple of the children you listed.Would it be possible for me to acquire a copy of Nora's letter?
I have a photograph of William C. Allen's tombstone. He shares it with Jane C. Allen.Directly in front of their grave is the grave of William C. Allen, Jr.All three are buried in the Frankston City Cemetery, Frankston, Anderson County, Texas. They are buried close to the grave of my gr-gr-gr-grandfather, William M. Capps and his wife Levina Moseley Capps.
I also have photos of the tombstones of Columbus E. & Samantha Thurman (his wife) Allen and E.S. & Julia M. Allen.I ran out of film before I got to Whitmill & Mary Ann Allen's tombstone.I hope to get back soon to take photos of them. All are buried in the Dover Cemetery in Carroll, Smith County, Texas.
Columbus E. Allen is one child I didn't see on your list, but in an obituary from the Tyler Daily Courier Times dated March 11, 1913, p. 7, the obituary of E.S. Allen listed two surviving brothers, J.M. (James) Allen and C.E. (Columbus) Allen.Ibelieve Columbus is the one you have listed as Bud.He was born on June 12, 1853 and died on April 20, 1927.
